I spent most of this week in bed trying to get over a stomach bug, which ended up being a great way to get me to slow down a bit. (Not fun, mind you.) I had to cancel an evening with a dear friend, so I wasn't too excited about that, but otherwise this has been a good reset of sorts. Nothing like being wicked sick to make you realize what's really important and what is truly missed. But after a few days of rest, the magic that is Phenergan, and some TLC from my honey, I'm slowly on the mend. Oddly, I feel more centered than I have in a while. I'm so thankful that I was able to make my women's discipleship group last night; I think that has a lot to do with the peaceful state of my heart (well, that, and God's work in my life in general right now). I'm reminded that stillness does wonders for one's walk, even if it's a bit uncomfortable at times.
Happy weekend, y'all!
Sorry to hear you weren't well Natalie. It's
ReplyDeletefunny how being ill often cause us to become reflective. Take care and enjoy your weekend!

Hope you feel better soon, Natalie. Sometimes it takes being ill for one to slow down, pray, think and reflect.
ReplyDeleteToo bad that you had to cancel because of stomach bugs - what a downer! Hope you feel better soon :) Take care girlie!

ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear you're feeling better. Stomach bugs are the worst but the time for reflection is pretty nice every once and a while.
