Pointy Flats

I recently purchased a pair of camel pointy flats from Aldo. Not only were they a steal of a deal, but I had been on the lookout for a more professional pair than my current neutral flats (which I still love, and also happen to be from Aldo). I am usually not a fan of pointy flats, nor pointy heels, really. Partially because they feel like my feet are being punished for bad behavior; partially because they generally show the dreaded toe cleavage. Dislike. But my new lovelies are quickly changing my mind, as they really up the elegance factor when paired with jeans, a loose tee and scarf, or with a tailored skirt for the office.

Here are some other pointy-toed cuties that have me thinking twice about my policy of round-toe only...

Oh, I just adore these! I may have created a monster. I blame yet another enticing sale.

Are you loving one of these pairs? What are your thoughts on pointy shoes?

  1. I switched to pointy toe flats recently as well and have never been happier. I have always been a pointy toe heel gal, but always found myself going back to the rounded flat. I love my pointy toe dressy flats and I am also a HUGE Aldo fan....

  3. Thank you! Great jeans and pointy heels are such a sexy look. I really just not a fan of my own toe cleavage because I've got stubby little nubbins for toes. Haha. Thanks for the comment! :)

  4. I know you're a total shoe gal, so I'm glad to hear that an expert is on board with me. Hehe. ;) I have a pair of pointy heels and I absolutely love the way they look, but I think they must be a poor fit because they just kill my feet. And make me trip. But that's operator error. Haha!

  7. I now have two pairs of the pointy flats - one similar to your first picture ( I love camel and tan shades) and an animal print pair (which I showed on an animal print post I did a while ago) I still love my round ones too and like you I do try to avoid the toe cleavage!

  8. I am super loving the 1st pair. Pointy toes can be really cute. I've had good and bad ones. I ordered some one time that were too pointy. I felt like I wore a size 26 or something. LOL Glad you love yours.

  9. Very nice! I really adore my camel pair; they're so timeless. I think I may actually go animal print next, so I'm right there with ya, Miss B! :)

  10. I know, I love those too! I tend to play it safe and stick with solid shoes, but I see prints and multi-color flats pulled off so well, especially if it's a mix of neturals, so I may attempt that look in the near future. Look out! LOL. ;D
