I'm a thirty-something Southern California native, who resides in a 1930s bungalow in Fort Worth, Texas. I graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in Sociology, but studied Writing for Publication, Performance and Media at Pratt as part of my undergrad. I currently work as a Product Manager for a healthcare IT start-up, but I dabble in freelance copywriting and contribute to this little blog as often as I can.
I love food and believe few things cannot be fixed with a great cup of coffee or a good cry. An old soul at heart, I'm happiest cuddled up on a rainy day with my wonderful husband, Michael ("M"), and our new addition: our son, Asher. (Hence, a lot of baby talk these days.)
I have been saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and that faith is a huge part of who I am. I won't throw a Bible at you or anything, but I will often gush about the Lord. I gave my life over to God a few years ago, falling to my knees in the midst of my mother's intense battle with breast cancer. That season was the best and worst I've been through thus far. (I lost my dear mama on Mother's Day 2010.) I can't help but share my walk and love seeing others do the same.
